Kansas City, MO (October 24, 2016) – Crestwood Services, the Supply & Logistics unit of Crestwood Equity Partners LP, recently announced the establishment of Propane Aid: North Carolina, a fund to assist victims of the flooding and damage caused by Hurricane Matthew. The fund, which will be managed by the North Carolina Propane Gas Association (NCPGA), will help consumers who rely on propane to heat their homes, as well as workers in the propane industry who were impacted by the storm and flooding.

John Jessup, executive director of the NCPGA, said Crestwood donated $6,000, which is roughly the equivalent of a transport load of propane, to launch Propane Aid: North Carolina. The money will be managed and disbursed through the NCPGA to fund expenses such as fuel for propane generators needed by those who lost power; food, lodging and fuel reimbursement for propane crews working to recover lost tanks and repair damaged systems; propane used by first responders to provide shelters and shower units; and clean water for propane marketers who lost their potable water supply.

“It is very generous of Crestwood to step up to help the people of North Carolina,” said Jessup. “The devastation and subsequent flooding caused by Hurricane Matthew is enormous, and many residents of our state are in desperate need of assistance. We are grateful to be able to help those in the propane industry who were impacted.”

Andy Ronald, Crestwood’s vice president of commercial development and national accounts said, “We are pleased to partner with the NCPGA to launch this fund, and we invite our colleagues across the propane industry to join us in Propane Aid: North Carolina. With additional donations by both industry suppliers and propane marketers, we can help the good people of North Carolina return to normal life more quickly. Our goal is to deploy $100,000. We look forward to having others contribute to the fund, helping us reach that goal in short order.”
