Pricing Now Available Via e-Mail

Beginning November 2000, BPN’s Weekly Propane Newsletter was made available via electronic distribution. Subscribers to this service receive their copy of the NEWSLETTER via e-mail as an attached Adobe Acrobat file (a PDF file) viewable using Adobe’s free Acrobat Reader software.

The biggest advantage of taking the NEWSLETTER via e-mail is timeliness. The NEWSLETTER’s current distribution method includes production and printing on Thursday, mailing on Friday, and arrival the following Monday or Tuesday, depending on where in the U.S. a subscriber lives. Electronic subscribers receive the NEWSLETTER on Thursday when production is complete—as much as five days earlier than through the mail.

…Requirements. To receive the NEWSLETTER electronically, subscribers must have a computer capable of running version 4.0 or higher of Adobe Acrobat Reader as well as an Internet connection and e-mail service allowing for files larger than 1.5MB. Adobe Acrobat 5.0 can be downloaded from Adobe's Web site. Readers are available for Windows, Mac OS, Unix, and OS2. Version 3.x of Acrobat Reader will not work with BPN's PDF file but version 4.x works just fine.

...Try a sample. The PDF files tend to be rather large in size. This sample is around 300 kb, but if you can download it and view it using Reader 4.0 or higher, you can subscribe to the electronic newsletter.

In addition to our regular subscription, e-mail subscriptions are also available that mirror the NEWSLETTER’s FAX service, which currently sends out FAXED pricing updates on Thursday and Monday as well as a copy of the NEWSLETTER in the mail.
