(December 15, 2017) — Advanced Digital Data Inc. has promoted John Coyle to vice president of sales. Coyle, who has more than 20 years of sales and managerial experience, has been with ADD Systems as sales manager since October 2013. He has been working with the company’s sales team and senior management to streamline the sales process. Under his direction, the department has successfully integrated new salespeople, managed retirements, and filled any gaps to strengthen the department and made transitions seamless. Frank Chamberlin, a long-time employee and industry veteran at Advanced Digital Data Inc. (Flanders, N.J.), retired Sept. 15. Chamberlin was with ADD Systems for over 20 years, serving in a number of roles. He joined the company in the 1990s as New England sales representative. Later in his career, Chamberlin took on the role of a sales training consultant with ADD, where he worked with newer sales people as part of the firm’s continued growth plan.
People McGatheyIndependent Technologies Inc. (Blair, Neb.) has promoted Boyd H. McGathey to COO of WESROC Monitoring Solutions. He joined Independent Technologies in 2016 as vice president of business development, principally for WESROC Monitoring Solutions. In his new position, he will be involved in working to provide a platform for WESROC to expand into the growing IoT market with equipment solutions designed and engineered to explore other communication technologies. McGathey previously served as executive vice president and COO at Ferrellgas. 

Billy Romero of Romero’s Rio Grande Propane (Taos) will serve as president of the New Mexico Propane Gas Association during the 2017-2018 term. Serving with him are Wendell Nicholson of Gallup Propane (Gallup), president; and Carl Fox of Cross Country Propane (Bosque Farms), secretary/treasurer.     
Rebecca (Becky) Zigmond, who has been involved with marketing at VFG Leasing & Finance (Pittsburgh) for more than 19 years, is leaving that position to pursue other interests. Taking over her role as marketing manager is Jim Winfield, VFG’s relationship manager. Winfield is returning to VFG after a short stay 25 years ago as a business originator. Winfield has worked as a journalist, followed by a 15-year career in the real estate settlement and mortgage services industry, where he gained experience in vendor relations, client services, and technical solutions. Raleigh Garrett, G&S Gas (Milledgeville), will serve as president of the Georgia Propane Gas Association for the new term. Also elected were Pete Cates, TruFlame Gas (Waynesboro), president elect; Steve Pearson, Mountain Gas (Cleveland), vice president; Mark Holloway, Modern Gas (Albany), secretary; and Lynda Humm, Georgia Gas Distributors (Sandy Springs), treasurer.

The North Dakota Propane Gas Association has elected Dale Beck of Dakota Plains Ag (Kindred) as its president for 2017-2018. Also elected to the board were Lyle Stevens of Horizon Resources (Williston), vice president, and Dan Marler of Ferrell North America (Minot), secretary/treasurer.

The 2017-2018 South Carolina Propane Gas Association officers include Clark Havird, Palmetto Propane (Leesville), president; Adger Rice, Turbeville Insurance Agency (Columbia), first vice president; and Richard O’Sheal, Ridge LP Gas (Leesville), second vice president and treasurer.


IN MEMORIUM: People Lybarger

Scott Lybarger passed away on Nov. 24 at the age of 52. Mr. Lybarger began his career with Ranger Insurance as a loss control specialist working with propane  companies. He was with Ranger for many years before joining Lampton Love Propane as a regional manager. About a year ago he went to work for Crum & Forster insurance as a senior risk engineering consultant for its propane division. Mr. Lybarger was an active member and past president of the Alabama Propane Gas Association, and most recently was on the National Propane Gas Association’s Member Services Committee. Our thoughts and prayers are with Scott's family.
